Recipes: Pomegranate Cosmopolitan Ingredients 1 pkt. (makes 2 qt. drink) or 2 pkt. (makes 1 qt. drink each) CRYSTAL LIGHT Immunity Cherry Pomegranate Flavor Drink Mix* 1 qt. (4 cups) water 1 cup vodka 1 cup light cranberry juice cocktail 1/4 cup lime juice 1/4 cup orange juice Directions 1. STIR drink mix and water in large pitcher until mix is dissolved. 2. ADD remaining ingredients; mix well. 3. STRAIN into glasses. Gruyère & Roasted Mushrooms Ingredients 1 tablespoon olive oil 8 ounces mushrooms, stemmed and sliced thin (cut large pieces in half) 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt Fresh cracked pepper 8 ounces Gruyère cheese, cut into 24 slices 24 Triscuit Cracked Pepper & Olive Oil Directions 1. Preheat the broiler. 2. Put the oil in a medium-size skillet over medium heat. 3. Add the mushrooms and cook, stirring occasionally, until they’re soft, 6 to 8 minutes. 4. Add salt and pepper. 5. Remove from heat, and let cool. 6. Place the crackers on a large baking sheet. 7. Divide the mushrooms over the crackers. 8. Top each with a slice of cheese. 9. Broil 2 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly. 10. Let cool slightly, and serve. Herby Blue Cheese and Pear Ingredients 4

Making Glasses From Beverage Bottles


After several attempts, we failed to make our own glass tumblers from empty soda bottles using some simple instructions found in Men’s Health. Oh well. See our valiant tries here and maybe learn from our mistakes. This project involves fire and broken glass. Please use extreme caution and attempt at your own risk.
